As you probably know we have taken trips outside of school as well with Film Club. To give you an idea: A small group of children were invited to an early screening of the Christmas film ‘Get Santa’. The film wasn’t even finished yet but the director and producers of the film wanted feedback from children to find out what worked well and what could be improved upon. Needless to say we were very happy to give them our honest opinion!
We also took part in the ‘Into Film National Film Festival’ last year and went to see an old American children’s film “Little Fugitive’ in the Barbican in London.
Our Film Club was invited to the first ‘Into Film Awards’ in March this year. Although we did not win any awards we had a great time at the Imax Theatre at the Empire Leicester Square in London. We watched countless clips of short films made by other members and watched the winners take their prizes. After the ceremony we made our way to Planet Hollywood for the after party. And what a great party it was: a free bar with fizzy drinks, lots and lots of canapés and nibbles and great music to dance to. For the non-dancers there were many film memorabilia to admire!
