Alexandra Junior School (AJS) is a popular two form entry junior school in Sydenham. Most of our children join us at age 7 from Alexandra Infant School. AJS comes to Nexus as a good school, with a passionate commitment to creative, engaging learning, and to the well-being and success of every child in our care. We are committed to active partnership within Nexus to promote excellence within our varied communities.
Farnborough Primary School is presently designated as one form entry primary which has accepted two reception bulge classes and has Local Authority funding to expand to two forms of entry. Farnborough is a popular, highly over-subscribed school rated Outstanding in all areas, Farnborough brings to Nexus its experience as a National Support School, Teaching School and University training partner in school improvement developing the growth and improvement of a wide range of schools.
Manor Oak Primary School is a one form entry primary school serving the Cray Valley area of Orpington. Graded Good in all areas by OFSTED in November 2016, Manor Oak offers a uniqueness to Nexus in both its challenging context and culture. Our expertise in providing for pupils with special educational needs, supporting emotional wellbeing and managing behaviour to ensure that pupils make excellent progress compliments and enriches the Nexus Partnership.
Highfield Infants’ School is a three form entry infants’ school in the heart of the Shortlands Community. The school is popular and oversubscribed with an Outstanding in all areas Ofsted rating. The school provides a warm, caring environment where the excellent welfare for each child ensures their academic and personal development. Our expertise is in high quality early years’ education. The school works closely with Highfield Junior School and with Bromley School’s Collegiate to train teachers. Our motto is “Love School Life”.
Highfield Junior School is a three-form entry junior school which works in close partnership with Highfield Infants’ School, with the schools sharing the same site. The school is high achieving academically but also focuses on the development of the whole child through music, arts and sport. The school is rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. Our expertise is in the development of the whole child through a wide range of opportunities. We work closely with the community as a school in the heart of Shortlands and with Bromley School’s Collegiate to train teachers. Our motto is “Growing Together, Learning for Life”.
Perry Hall Primary School is a popular, over-subscribed two form entry primary school in Orpington. Rated outstanding, Perry Hall consistently achieves results well above national average in statutory end of key stage assessments. The school has a strong record of high achievement for children who are entitled to Pupil Premium funding. As a National Support School, our senior leaders work across the country supporting school improvement and providing training for student teachers our experience will enhance the capacity of support through Nexus.
Pickhurst Infant Academy is a four-form entry Infant school in West Wickham, which is a popular, highly over-subscribed school rated outstanding in all areas. Our expertise is within Early Years and we are a designated Teaching School (EYELA). As part of the Teaching School, we have several Specialist Leaders of Education who can be deployed to provide high quality support and impact on outcomes in other schools.
Worsley Bridge Primary School, as a Farnborough National Support school partner in 2015, joined Nexus Trust in January 2016 and has improved rapidly with end of Key stage results rising in 2015 and 2016. Worsley Bridge serves the Beckenham community, originally as a Junior School and now as a three-form entry Primary school; growing year on year to accommodate 630 pupils. Worsley Bridge aims to offer a breadth of experiences and has strong partnerships within the locality, providing our pupil’s and the wider Nexus Organisation a wealth of cross curricula opportunities.
